Konica Minolta GM-60CT Gloss Meter
In global supply chains, surface gloss control for products is no longer confined to a single workshop. The greatest challenge for large corporations or component suppliers (such as automotive and electronics) is: How can we ensure that gloss measurement results from different instruments across various manufacturing plants remain perfectly consistent and free of discrepancies?
To address this rigorous inspection challenge, Konica Minolta developed a specialized product lineup: the Uni Gloss 60CT (Close Tolerance) gloss meter. This premium model is specifically optimized to deliver ultra-high precision and flawless data synchronization across devices.
What is the Core Concept of the “Close Tolerance” (CT) Model in the Konica Minolta Uni Gloss 60CT?
The acronym “CT” stands for Close Tolerance. Unlike the standard Uni Gloss 60A model, the Uni Gloss 60CT version undergoes much stricter factory component screening, rigorous testing, and precise calibration directly by the manufacturer to achieve:
Outstanding Konica Minolta GM-60CT Repeatability: Minimizing measurement deviation when scanning repeatedly at the exact same location.
Ultra-low Inter-Instrument Agreement (IIA): Guaranteeing that Device A at your production plant and Device B at your customer’s or partner’s quality laboratory return virtually identical, matching results.
Key Features of Uni Gloss 60CT
Absolute Accuracy within Low Gloss Ranges
Standard gloss meters are highly susceptible to measurement drift when reading matte textures or ultra-low gloss surfaces (such as automotive interiors or textured plastics). The Uni Gloss 60CT features optimized internal hardware that enhances display resolution and maintains a stable repeatability of 0.1 GU for low-gloss ranges.
Supply Chain Optimization (Factories – Suppliers)
Thanks to its exceptionally tight IIA index (specifically in the low-gloss range), this gloss meter completely eliminates commercial trade disputes regarding surface finish quality between buyers and sellers. Data generated from your device can be safely utilized as the gold standard for all stakeholders.
Simple Operation with an Intuitive Interface
Color LCD Screen: Displays clear measurement readouts, comprehensive statistics data (Max, Min, Mean), and dynamic Pass/Fail judgments.
Scroll Wheel Navigation: A minimalist ergonomic design featuring only 2 physical buttons and 1 scroll wheel for menu navigation, enabling quality technicians to configure languages, calibrate, and execute routine testing within seconds.
Professional “Smart-lab Gloss” Software Pack
The instrument comes complete with PC utility software via USB connection, enabling:
Automated generation of high-quality QC inspection reports featuring intuitive trend charts or organized data sheets.
Configuration of automated Pass/Fail thresholds or automated Warning alarms to manage operational risks along the production line.
