Lisun AGM-580 Single, Multi-Angle Gloss Meter (2000GU)
The Lisun AGM-580 Gloss Meter is a powerful upgraded version in the line of industrial gloss measurement devices. The brightest highlight of the Lisun AGM-580 is the combination of a multi-angle measurement system (typically 20°, 60°, 85°) and an ultra-wide measurement range reaching up to 2000 GU. This makes the device an “all-in-one” inspection station, accurately evaluating the gloss of all types of surfaces without the need to change devices, perfectly meeting the strictest testing standards (QC/QA).
Outstanding Features
Supports multi-angle measurement (20°/60°/85°): The device is designed to measure all levels of surface gloss:
- 20° Angle: Specialized for high-gloss surfaces such as automotive gloss paint, glass, and metals.
- 60° Angle: Universal measurement angle (Semi-gloss), suitable for most common materials such as plastics, ceramics, and standard paints.
- 85° Angle: Optimized for low-gloss, matte surfaces (Matte/Low-gloss) such as paper, leather, fabric, and matte paint.
Maximum measurement range (0 – 2000 GU): Unlike standard models that can only measure up to 200 – 1000 GU, the Lisun AGM-580 pushes the limit to 2000 GU. This power helps the machine accurately measure highly reflective surfaces (like polished stainless steel, mirrors, chrome plating, gold plating) without data overflow.
First-class accuracy (Tier 1): The device uses advanced optical sensors, ensuring excellent stability and repeatability, strictly complying with international measurement standards such as ISO 2813, ASTM D523, GB/T 9754, DIN 67530, and meeting the JJG 696 first-class verification standard.
Simultaneous multi-angle display: The color screen of the AGM-580 can display the results of all 3 measurement angles at the same time (if multi-angle mode is selected). Users can instantly see the overall picture of the product’s gloss without complex switching.
Smart QC analysis system: The machine allows pre-setting of tolerance limits (Pass/Fail). If the measured product has a gloss out of standard, the machine will immediately issue an alert. Large-capacity internal memory combined with PC software via USB port supports data downloading, charting, and automatic quality report exporting.

Practical Applications
With a 2000 GU measurement range and flexible multi-angle measurement capabilities, the Lisun AGM-580 is a must-have device in industries that demand strict appearance requirements:
- Automotive & Aerospace Industry: Measuring the gloss of exterior paint, powder coatings, glossy chrome-plated metal trims, rearview mirrors, and matte plastic interiors (thanks to the combination of 20° and 85° angles).
- Metals, Electroplating & Polishing: Evaluating the quality of stainless steel plates, brushed aluminum, copper, jewelry, and highly reflective electroplated materials (making full use of the 2000 GU measurement range).
- Paint & Coating Industry: QC inspection from matte finish paints used in military/interiors to high-gloss paints used for pianos and high-end wooden furniture.
- Building Materials & Furniture: Controlling the surface quality of marble, granite, high-end ceramic tiles, architectural glass, and melamine or laminate flooring.
- Printing & Packaging Industry: Evaluating the gloss of printing inks on paper, nylon films, and aluminum foils for food packaging.
