CHN SPEC FS-1A Hyperspectral Camera (1400~2500 nm)
The CHN SPEC FS-1A Spectrometer Camera (Extended SWIR Hyperspectral Camera) is a breakthrough signal acquisition device operating in the ultra-long wavelength range from 1400 nm to 2500 nm. Completely different from optical or standard SWIR cameras (900-1700nm), the 1400-2500 nm band is the “golden zone” for identifying the core molecular bonds of matter. This device does not capture the external appearance of objects but directly extracts the internal chemical nature, making it the ultimate tool for geology, complex material recycling, and agricultural-pharmaceutical analysis.

Outstanding Features
- Extended infrared waveband (1400 – 2500 nm): In this spectral range, characteristic chemical bonds such as O-H (found in water, moisture), C-H (found in organic compounds, plastics, polymers), and N-H (found in proteins, amino acids) have extremely strong light absorption. As a result, the FS-1A has the capability to measure the content and distinguish chemicals with superior accuracy and sensitivity compared to the 900-1700nm band.
- In-depth “Spectral Fingerprint” decoding: Every material has a characteristic light reflectance graph (fingerprint) in the 1400-2500nm band. The device records these fingerprints to accurately identify precious minerals, distinguish textile fibers with identical appearances, or identify high-tech engineering plastics.
- Absolute Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): The device collects chemical and structural information of materials intactly without the need for crushing, using chemical solvents, or physically interfering with the test sample.
- 3D Chemical Mapping (Hypercube): The FS-1A scans and generates a spatial-spectral data block (Data Cube). Thanks to this, users not only know what substances are contained in the sample but also visually see the distribution of that substance at each pixel on the product surface.
- Powerful Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration: The massive volume of spectral data acquired from the FS-1A provides a perfect foundation for training Machine Learning models. AI algorithms can learn to automatically sort, evaluate quality, and command robotic arm systems to pick out defective products on the conveyor belt.
Practical Applications
The molecular analysis capability of the 1400-2500nm waveband makes the CHN SPEC FS-1A a core solution in the following fields:
Geological Research & Mining: Surveying and mapping the distribution of minerals (clay, carbonates, silicates, metal ores) based on the infrared absorption characteristics of each rock type, helping to optimize the exploration and extraction process.
Textile & Industrial Plastics Recycling:
- Accurately distinguishing the blending ratio of fibers in the textile industry (e.g., Cotton blended with Polyester, Wool blended with Silk) to serve automated clothing recycling processes.
- Sorting black plastics and special polymers that common SWIR technologies cannot completely resolve.
Agriculture & High-end Food Industry: Absolutely accurate measurement of moisture (water), protein, fat, carbohydrate, and dry matter content in agricultural products such as milk powder, grains, coffee, and meat.
Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals: Inspecting the uniformity of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) in tablets; detecting counterfeit drugs based on excipient composition deviations; testing soil samples contaminated with chemicals.
