Konica Minolta CM-3700A Plus Spectrophotometer
Konica Minolta CM-3700A Plus is the premium benchtop spectrophotometer series from the optical brand Konica Minolta (Japan).
This instrument is designed to measure the color of both solid materials (Reflectance geometry) and transparent liquids/films (Transmittance geometry). Unlike standard portable models, the CM-3700A Plus focuses heavily on minimizing Inter-Instrument Agreement errors and delivering world-class repeatability, enabling precise color control down to the microscopic level.
Detailed Information on Konica Minolta CM-3700A Plus Spectrophotometer
The Konica Minolta CM-3700A Plus spectrophotometer features ultra-high precision and reliability. By pursuing exceptional accuracy and dependability, inter-instrument agreement and repeatability have been greatly optimized. This allows low-reflectance samples to be measured with superior precision, and the repeatability of black measurements has been significantly improved, reducing variation to less than half compared to prior models.
Achieving Efficiency in Measurement Workflows
By measuring SCI and SCE simultaneously, the measurement time has been cut roughly in half compared to prior models, achieving a highly efficient measurement workflow.
Additionally, the electronic viewfinder function of the Konica Minolta CM-3700A Plus allows you to check the measurement area directly from your PC, making sample alignment much easier. Furthermore, images can be saved alongside the measurement data, enabling you to visually verify the exact measurement spot.
*PC connectivity requires the optional SpectraMagic NX software.
Wavelength Calibration Feature Ensures High Stability for the Konica Minolta CM-3700A Plus
“Zero calibration,” “white calibration,” and “wavelength calibration” guarantee superior stability and measurement accuracy.
The automatic wavelength diagnosis and calibration function “WAA (Wavelength Analysis & Adjustment)” is a proprietary technology unique to Konica Minolta, which automatically detects and corrects wavelength shifts in the measuring instruments.
You can utilize “WAA” free of charge for one year after purchasing the CM-3700A Plus. From the second year onwards, you can continue using this service through inspection and calibration plans.
Capable of Measuring Transparent Color
Transmittance color measurements can be performed using diffuse illumination and 0° viewing geometry (di:0°, de:0° / DI:0°, DE:0°).
It can handle a wide variety of products, ranging from sheet-like samples such as glass and filters to liquid samples such as food and cosmetics.
A4-Sized Samples Can Be Measured at the Center
You can measure the exact center of A4-sized samples.
Additionally, the sample holder securely grips the specimen while maintaining the same impact-reduction capability as conventional dampers.
Ambient Temperature/Humidity Sensors and Sample Surface Thermometer
Equipped with ambient temperature and humidity sensors along with a sample surface thermometer, it checks and records the conditions of the testing environment and the specimen surface temperature.
Highly saturated colors are particularly susceptible to temperature changes, making strict color management essential for controlling the sample surface temperature, ambient temperature, and humidity.
By measuring and recording the testing environment and sample surface temperature during colorimetric measurement, more precise and accurate color management can be achieved.
